Q + A

When is the RSVP due?

April 30th. Final numbers are due to our vendors the next week.

Are kids allowed?

The ceremony and reception on June 6th is limited to those named on the invitations. If you travel to Austin with kids that aren't named on the invitation, they are welcome at our June 5th welcome reception - just drop us a note. And if you need help arranging childcare for Saturday, our wedding planner strongly suggests services from Grandparents Unlimited. https://www.grandparentsunlimited.com/ If you stay at Hotel Zaza the party is just feet from the elevator that takes you to your room.

What does semi-formal dress mean?

We’re going for elevated evening style — festive, polished, and celebration-ready. At a minimum, men should wear suits or a jacket/blazer. Women can opt for cocktail dresses, dressy sets, or elegant jumpsuits. Kindly skip the jeans and casual wear.

What's on the menu?

Friday: Welcome Reception — Texas BBQ with a cash bar. Saturday: Wedding — buffet with multiple entrée options and a fully hosted bar. If you have dietary restrictions for Saturday night, please indicate them on your RSVP.

Why Austin?

We got engaged after we knew we were moving to Alaska. Anchorage in the summer is extremely expensive - round trip flights quickly get into the low $1000s and even the most standard hotels start around $450 a night. While Houston was home in Texas - it's not the best tourist destination. There is lots to do in Austin even if you are there for a quick weekend - and hotels and travel options to fit more people's budget. We hope to see you there!

Can I bring a guest?

We ask that attendees are only those indicated on the invitation.
